Queensday Sale

As we announced earlier, this Queensday we were at the free market in Vlaardingen (with our handmade jewelry). The weather wasn't as great as we had expected, but despite the cold we had a great day!

We woke up at 05:30 am. At this time people actually already hurry to the city to master a good spot, to make sure that they have the best place to expose their second hand sale items. With our sleepy bodies we carried two tables, two chairs and many cheerful accessories to a very efficient spot, in front of Jack Jones (which is also where we sat last year). After we installed our stuff we were very hapy that HEMA opened at 08:00 a'clock, because they sold breakfast for only 1 euro. At that time we were really in a need for this, because we just worked hard to build up our pretty shop in the cold early morning.

The sale was about to start and there were already customers starting to look around! We were very excited when the first people with interested glances started to come to us. Unfortunately, we did not get the questions we were hoping for. "Is that bike for sale?" "How much for the table?" "Those stones look really pretty!" That's great.. those were not for sale. Were people even looking at our jewelry? That is when we decided to hang a note on the wall. "Bike and tables are not for sale. Our beautiful handmade jewelry on the other hand, they are!"

And it worked!
Aside from our Queensday bracelets and earrings, we have sold some of the stuff that has been in our Etsy shop for a while, but the items we had brought from our new summer collection were by far the most popular!

At the moment we are busy with finishing these new items and after that we will introduce these to our webshop on Etsy. As you can see on the pictures, we are using more bright colors in our jewelry. Especially turquoise, white, coral and yellow are used as an eye catcher. We also use more leather to give the jewelry a real summery appearance. Besides, we payed attention to new types of jewelry: we made a few sets of earrings and anklets and also chains are going to play a more prominent role in our collection!

At the end of the day, we were very satisfied! We met many new different kinds of people, young and older, who were interested in our handmade jewelry. We also sold quite a few items. We hope that our customers will wear our jewelry with joy and that it gives them a unique feeling!

What do you think of the collection so far? Tips and comments are always welcome!

We also would like to know, how was your Queensday? What did you do?:)

I love the details!
